The Trimates
TBD
‘Trimates”, features pianist John Simon, drummer Kendrick Freeman, and bassist Tom Shader as a joyful collaboration of 3 musical partners who have worked together for decades, acting as the backup trio for many Bay Area singers and instrumentalists. During the Pandemic, the gigs dried up, so they decided to take the opportunity to choose their own music and make an album together, “Taking Time”. In addition to the eclectic jazz you might expect from them, they feature a number of tunes that showcase 3 part vocal harmonies, especially focusing on original music composed by John and Tom. For their first concert of the year, they performed at the Music To My Ears Theater (Formerly Main Stage West), 104 Main Street in Sebastopol! Come experience their joyful sound again on Saturday, May 25th, at 7:30pm. No waiters, no tables, no noise (except for them, of course…) in a true listening environment. We’re very excited and hope you can join us!
