The Trimates
Saturday, May 25th, 2024
‘Trimates”, featuring John Simon on piano, drummer Kendrick Freeman, and bassist Tom Shader is a joyful collaboration of 3 musical partners who have worked together for decades, acting as the backup trio for many Bay Area singers and instrumentalists. During the Pandemic, the gigs dried up, so we decided to take the opportunity to choose our own music and make an album together, “Taking Time”. In addition to the eclectic jazz you might expect from us, we feature a number of tunes that showcase 3 part vocal harmonies, especially focusing on original music composed by John and Tom. Our first concert of the year, we will be performing at the Music To My Ears Theater (Formerly Main Stage West), 104 Main Street in Sebastopol on Saturday, May 25th, at 7:30pm. No waiters, no tables, no noise (except for us, of course…) in a true listening environment. We’re very excited and hope you can join us!
